Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Director to lead and optimize all supply chain functions across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing environments and a proven track record of managing procurement, planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and supplier relationships. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimization, uninterrupted production, and continuous improvement throughout the end-to-end supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead and manage Procurement, Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing, and Logistics teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and operational excellence.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor supply chain effectiveness.

Demand Planning & Production Support

  • Oversee Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Ensure accurate demand forecasting and production planning to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Production, Sales, and Finance teams to align inventory and manufacturing plans.

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and services.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement supplier development programs.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Optimize inventory levels while minimizing stock shortages and excess inventory.
  • Implement inventory control systems and best practices.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, storage optimization, and material flow efficiency.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Optimize transportation costs and delivery performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Develop and manage supply chain budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Monitor supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
  • Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards and manufacturing best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master's Degree is highly preferred.

Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director, Head of Supply Chain, or equivalent).
  • Mandatory experience within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple functions.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of S&OP, Demand Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Warehousing.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain KPIs and performance management.

Leadership Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Ability to drive change and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Experience

  • FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Industrial Manufacturing, Chemicals, Packaging, Pharmaceuticals, or Consumer Goods manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience managing regional or multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
