Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee all aspects of strategic and tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory management, and budgeting. This role requires the development of effective supply chain strategies to enhance operational productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with established purchasing policies and recommend necessary updates to improve processes.
  • Develop innovative supply chain management strategies aimed at enhancing performance metrics.
  • Implement a systematic approach for monitoring inventory levels and assessing purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual trends.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and address operational weaknesses.
  • Document existing supply chain processes, including workflows and responsibilities.
  • Create procedures to facilitate coordination among functional areas, including sales, finance, marketing, and quality assurance.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and evaluation of Supply Chain Management (SCM) personnel, setting performance goals and reviewing outcomes.
  • Design and implement supply chains in alignment with sustainability practices.
  • Manage strategic purchasing activities, including material planning, budgeting, and procurement processes, while analyzing relevant data for informed decision-making.
  • Oversee significant procurement initiatives, focusing on service excellence, financial management, and business growth while engaging with external vendors.
  • Guide buyers in material requirements and purchasing strategies.
  • Evaluate and select technology solutions that enhance inventory tracking and reporting systems.
  • Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) that monitor quality, cost, and delivery effectiveness, driving continuous improvement.
  • Optimize warehouse operations, manage inventory risk, and implement contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant International and National Healthcare Accreditation standards across supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; a Master's degree or certification in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and materials management best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven analytical, conceptual, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong project management skills and effective decision-making capabilities.
