Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
2-4 years of proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or logistics.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Epicor), inventory management systems, and MS Excel.
Soft Skills
Strong negotiation, vendor relationship management, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Certifications
APICS (CSCP/CPIM) or CIPS certification is a plus.
The Supply Chain Officer coordinates end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, procurement, inventory control, vendor management, logistics, and customer order coordination.
The primary goal is to ensure high customer satisfaction through timely order fulfillment, seamless communication, and efficient supply chain operations.
Customer Coordination & Order Fulfillment:
Act as the primary supply chain point of contact for customer service, sales teams, and external client inquiries regarding order status.
Process, validate, and track customer sales orders from entry through to dispatch and final delivery.
Coordinate delivery schedules with customers and logistics providers to meet agreed Lead Times and Delivery SLAs.
Manage customer feedback, order changes, product returns (RMA), and fulfillment issues with prompt resolutions.
Supply Chain & Demand Planning:
Analyze customer order history and sales forecasts to align supply planning with client demand.
Develop Master Production Schedules (MPS) and Material Requirements Plans (MRP) based on customer lead times and stock requirements.
Monitor buffer stock and reorder points to ensure stock availability for key customer accounts.
Procurement & Sourcing Operations:
Issue, process, and track purchase orders (POs) based on planning requirements and customer order commitments.
Evaluate vendor quotes, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to meet client project deadlines.
Maintain reliable vendor relationships to ensure consistent component and material supply.
Inventory & Warehouse Control:
Track inventory allocations for specific customer orders to prevent misallocation or stock shortages.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with ERP system records.
Oversee proper packaging, labeling, and handling according to client-specific guidelines.
Logistics & Distribution Management:
Arrange inbound and outbound freight shipments, ensuring compliance with customer-preferred carriers and shipping instructions.
Prepare shipping documentation, customs clearance papers, and export/import paperwork for customer deliveries.
Monitor transit status and proactively notify clients of any potential shipment delays.
Vendor & Service Level Management:
Monitor vendor and logistics provider performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure service quality.
Maintain accurate customer order records, pricing agreements, and contracts in the system.
