Supply Chain Management - Buyer

SCM Buyer | Abu Dhabi | 1-Year Contract

We are hiring an experienced SCM Buyer for a leading global energy and engineering company in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, vendor management, contract negotiation, and project-based environments, preferably within industrial, engineering, EPC, power, or turnkey projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for project requirements.
• Source and qualify suppliers and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Handle logistics, customs clearance, transportation, manpower services, and project-related procurement.
• Expedite orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Support bid and proposal teams with sourcing and market information.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7 to 10 years of procurement and supply chain experience in a project environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience procuring tailored/customized equipment.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, contracts, supplier management, and sourcing.
• Experience with large industrial, EPC, energy, manufacturing, or turnkey projects.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Willingness to travel across GCC countries when required.

Start Date: Mid-September 2026

Contract Duration: 1 Year

GCC travel may be required.
