Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager based in Dubai, UAE to lead procurement and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, inventory planning, and procurement performance while ensuring the efficient supply of goods and services without compromising quality or operational requirements.
The role requires close collaboration with key stakeholders to identify business needs, drive cost-effective procurement strategies, and implement best practices across the supply chain function.
Travel Requirement
- Open to travel for approximately 60-70% of the time to support and visit our company-operated branches within the MEA region.
JOB DUTIES:
- Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
- Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management
- Delegating tasks and supervising the work of buyers across all departments
- Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results
- Leading a team of buyers and delegate tasks across departments when necessary
- Managing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organization
- Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business
- Creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of Supply Chain experience, including at least 5 years in a direct managerial role with Supply Chain responsibilities.
- Mandatory experience within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in Rotating Equipment, Drilling Equipment, Machine Shops, Workshops, and/or Oil Equipment Manufacturing.
- Experience in management and supervision.
- Financial and numerical skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional talent in negotiation and networking.
- Solid knowledge of supplier and third-party management software.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
