Job Overview

Join Uvera, a dynamic and rapidly growing Food technology company, as a Supply Chain Specialist. We are seeking a motivated individual to play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, focusing on part procurements, supplier management, and on-site logistics. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to kickstart their career in supply chain management within a fast-paced and global environment.

Responsibilities:

1- Part Procurement:

  • Coordinate and execute the procurement of parts and materials needed for production.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand part requirements and ensure timely availability.

2- Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, particularly in China.
  • Conduct regular communication to ensure alignment on product specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.

3- Negotiation:

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, lead times, and contractual agreements.
  • Work to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall supplier performance.

4- Logistics Coordination:

  • Oversee on-site logistics, including coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, and managing customs clearance processes.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize transportation routes and minimize costs.

5- Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess stock.
  • Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

6- Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure all procurement and logistics documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Stay informed about import/export regulations and work to ensure compliance with customs requirements.

7- Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Proactively address and resolve any issues related to part procurement, supplier relations, or logistics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of expeireince in procurment, supply chain management or project management.
  • Familiarity with supply chain software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong written and verbal English and Arabic communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred skills:

  • Understanding of Chinese business culture and language skills (Mandarin) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of international shipping and logistics.

Type of employment: Full time

Schedule: 8 hours shift, 6 working days/week.

Work location: Jeddah & KAUST Research & Technology Park, Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.

Transportation: Daily shuttles between Jeddah and KAUST are available.
