ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Aramco. Inheriting DHL's logistics excellence and Aramco's extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.
ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.
Objective:
The Buyer's primary responsibility is to execute efficient procurement processes, ensure competitive sourcing, and facilitate the timely placement of purchase orders within his/her designated category. The role holder will play a crucial role in contributing to the success of ASMO's procurement and sourcing operations. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented team player who will oversee the entire order process. You will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records.
General Responsibilities:
- Initial preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQs) for a wide range of commodities.
- Process modifications to terms and conditions of purchase agreements.
- Perform commercial analysis on suppliers to develop more efficient processes and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with category teams to create and manage purchase orders promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Assist in sourcing activities, including vendor identification, negotiations, and supplier selection, to secure cost-effective and high-quality goods and services.
- Execute procurement processes efficiently, following established guidelines and best practices.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and facilitate smooth transactions.
- Collaborate with category specialists and technical experts to support their initiatives and projects within your designated category.
- Utilize data and procurement insights to support procurement decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.
- Ensure that procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
- 0-3 year's of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
