Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Engineer to support and implement sustainability, ESG, and compliance initiatives across manufacturing operations in KSA. The role requires strong experience in sustainability standards, environmental compliance, audits, and ESG reporting within industrial or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage sustainability and ESG programs across manufacturing sites.
- Ensure compliance with KSA environmental, labor, and HSE regulations.
- Conduct environmental, social, and H&S audits, including corrective action follow-up.
- Support implementation and maintenance of:
- ISO 14001
- ISO 45001
- Monitor supplier sustainability compliance aligned with Supplier Code of Conduct (CoC).
- Coordinate customer sustainability audits and due diligence activities.
- Support ESG reporting and sustainability data analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and audit-ready systems.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and quality teams to integrate sustainability into daily operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- 5–7+ years of relevant experience in Sustainability, ESG, or EHS within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Experience in solar manufacturing or Middle East industrial projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- RBA
- SA8000
- ISO 26000
- ISO 14001
- ISO 45001
- Experience in social, environmental, and labor compliance audits.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong ESG reporting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and responsible sourcing standards.
- Experience in audit documentation and compliance tracking systems.
- Understanding of KSA and Middle East regulatory environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification.
- Experience with customer sustainability audits and ESG due diligence.
- Exposure to decarbonization and climate-related manufacturing initiatives.
