Job Title: Sustainability Officer
Job Location: Abu Dhabi
Job Summary:
The Sustainability Officer supports the execution of the company's sustainability and social impact agenda, with a strong focus on data management, reporting, and performance tracking. The role is responsible for collecting, validating, and collating sustainability data across environmental and social dimensions to enable accurate reporting, compliance, and informed decisionmaking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, validate, and collate sustainability and social impact data across the organisation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of GHG inventories (Scope 1, 2, and relevant Scope 3) in line with the GHG Protocol.
- Assist in sustainability disclosures and submissions, including CDP, ESG, CSR, and social impact reporting, ensuring timely and accurate data inputs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.) to gather reliable sustainability data and clarify methodologies and assumptions.
- Conduct data quality checks, reconciliations, and basic trend analysis to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the tracking and measurement of CSR and social impact initiatives, including KPIs, targets, and outcomes.
- Assist with thirdparty ESG assessments, questionnaires, and ratings by preparing data responses and supporting improvement actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
- 23 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, CSR, environmental reporting, or a related role.
- Handson experience with sustainability data collection, validation, and consolidation.
- Exposure to GHG accounting, CDP reporting, CSR, or social impact measurement is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and data management skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ESG or sustainability data platforms is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, CDP, GRI).
- Sustainability or ESG certifications (completed or in progress) are a plus.
