Job Description

Role Overview The selected candidate will direct the team tasked with distributing regional equities and fixed-income products to a diverse base of local, regional, and global institutional clients. This executive will be tasked with identifying targeted client objectives, expanding market share, and driving overarching revenue growth. Furthermore, the role requires comprehensive oversight of all client service distribution channels—spanning institutional, corporate, high-net-worth, and retail segments—which includes managing contact centers and support desks.

A core function of this position is forging strategic partnerships and marketing market-making and liquidity provisioning agreements to prospective corporate clients. The candidate will collaborate closely with the Research and Trading divisions to align these clients with targeted regional and international investors, coordinate corporate roadshows, and develop high-impact collateral. The leader in this role will also monitor client satisfaction metrics, drive continuous improvement, own the creation of winning presentation materials, and ensure the enforcement of all departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Formulate comprehensive sales and customer service strategies that align with current industry trends, target demographics, regulatory guidelines, and broader corporate objectives.
  • Revenue & Pipeline Management: Expand the active business pipeline, deliver accurate forecasts, and achieve ambitious revenue targets to capture greater market share, all while strictly adhering to approved departmental budgets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs across all sales and customer service teams to ensure quality delivery, optimize operational efficiency, and minimize wasted resources.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with C-suite executives (CEOs, CFOs, CIOs) and key decision-makers across the financial industry. Travel regionally and internationally as required to solidify these partnerships.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously evaluate competitor offerings and market trends. Build detailed client profiles to enable highly targeted, data-driven sales approaches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with research and trading teams to conceptualize new marketing narratives and product themes.
  • Event Leadership: Organize and host investor roadshows and corporate events designed to showcase the firm's product suite to institutional investors.
  • Communications & PR: Act as the primary liaison for departmental public relations. Collaborate with the central corporate communications team to shape press releases, multimedia presentations, and digital content.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and expand the sales force. Develop performance-based incentive structures, consolidate team targets, and ensure overarching business goals are met. Submit routine performance reports to executive leadership.
  • Risk & Compliance: Champion a culture of compliance by adhering to all legal, regulatory, and internal frameworks (including AML, Data Protection, Sanctions, and Insider Trading policies). Actively participate in operational risk management, incident remediation, and the maintenance of information security standards.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • General Experience: A minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained within a top-tier, globally recognized banking institution.
  • Specialized Experience: At least 8 years managing high-performing sales teams focused on financial services products, with a minimum of 5 of those years spent in a brokerage environment.

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; bilingual proficiency (English and the regional language) is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in new business development, high-level negotiation, and closing complex deals.
  • Deep comprehension of regional exchange regulations, financial market laws, and best practices.
  • High level of personal integrity, self-management, and a steadfast commitment to results.
  • Robust analytical, organizational, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Proven ability to make decisive choices, execute initiatives autonomously, and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
