About the Company

SPARK Athletic Center is our Fitness Facility that offers programs and services for professional, amateur and youth athletes. Founded in 2013 as an incubator for professional and elite athletes, SPARK Athletic Center provides training, nutrition, and physical therapy programs seamlessly integrated under one roof by teams of specialists.

Job Summary:

The Swimming Pool Supervisor is responsible for providing engaging swimming lessons for clients. You will also be responsible for enforcing safety protocols and ensuring it is a safe and clean environment for all the members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead engaging swimming lessons for clients at various skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
  • Instruct group and private aquatic fitness classes (e.g., aqua aerobics, water yoga).
  • Provide clear and concise instruction, demonstrating proper swimming techniques.
  • Motivate and encourage students to reach their full potential in the water.
  • Track student progress and maintain clear communication with members.
  • Maintain pool logs and equipment records.
  • Evaluate and replace pool equipment as required.
  • Assist with scheduling pool time for lessons and classes.
  • May be responsible for some light pool maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pool environment for all members.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies and accidents according to established protocols.
  • Monitor pool usage and ensure proper capacity.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum certification as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent.
  • Minimum experience of 8 or more years teaching swimming lessons.
  • Strong understanding of water safety protocols and CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Patience and a passion for teaching.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
