Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Exchange, and core infrastructure services, with the ability to provide reliable L2 support. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate in a complex, multi-tier environment.
Key Responsibilities
Windows & Server Infrastructure
- Install, configure, and provide L2 support for Windows Server operating systems.
- Perform server maintenance, patching, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Active Directory & Identity Services
- Administer, maintain, and support Active Directory environments (Intranet & DMZ).
- Manage Group Policy creation, updates, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and manage LAPS (Local Admin Password Solution).
- Administer AD Manager reporting tools and generate required directory reports.
Core Network Services
- Manage DHCP server scopes, reservations, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain DNS records, zones, and ensure naming integrity across systems.
Security, Compliance & Vulnerability Closure
- Review vulnerability reports, prioritize remediation activities, and ensure closure within defined timelines.
- Handle patch deployment according to organizational security standards.
Virtualization:
- Administer, maintain, and support Hyper-V environments
- Administer, maintain, and support VMware environments
Email & Messaging Systems
- Administer, maintain, and support on prem/cloud Microsoft Exchange servers.
- Provide L2 support for end-user email clients (Outlook configuration, access issues, mail flow).
- Manage Exchange Reporter tools for analysis, usage reporting, and auditing.
- Oversee Exchange performance, backups, and regular maintenance tasks.
File & Storage Services
- Manage departmental shared folders, permissions, and access control structures.
- Maintain and support external secure file systems such as Kiteworks.
Security & Compliance
- Maintain and support ADRMS (Active Directory Rights Management Services).
- Ensure systems comply with security policies, standards, and best practices.
Printing Systems
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise printing systems and print servers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in System Administration.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong experience with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Solid experience administering Microsoft Exchange environments.
- Knowledge of LAPS, ADRMS, AD Manager, and Exchange Reporter.
- Understanding file system permissions, access control, and IT security principles.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with proven L2 support experience.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred to have:
- Microsoft 365 Certified
- Microsoft Professional Certified
