About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled System & Network Security Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems and networks across the organization. This role ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of all IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, configure, and maintain systems, servers, and network devices.
- Monitor network performance and security events, ensuring proactive threat detection.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network issues.
- Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and effective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT operations and new projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Proven experience as a System/Network or Security Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux systems administration.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks.
- Experience with SIEM, endpoint security, and monitoring tools.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Security+, CEH, or similar are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
