System Analyst, Cloudera (Banking, 1-year renewable contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope and timeline.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical designs, functional specifications, and system documentation.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Perform data mapping, process mapping, and system integration with interfacing applications.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee technical deliverables, testing activities (SIT/UAT), deployment, and production implementation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive system enhancements and performance improvements.
• Manage project risks, change requests, deployment schedules, and ensure timely issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in system integration, application development, and enterprise solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, SQL, and either Java or Python.
• Experience working with Cloudera and/or big data platforms, including Hadoop ecosystem technologies, is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Aldon) and software delivery best practices.
• Proven experience in data mapping, process mapping, technical documentation, and production incident management.
• Experience supporting system integration, testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and production support activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with compliance systems, MLS platforms, or risk monitoring applications is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with networking, firewalls, load balancing, disaster recovery, Hadoop/NoSQL, Control-M, JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence, and Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) is an added advantage.
