Role Purpose
The System Analyst serves as the vital technical bridge between the Business Analyst (BA) and the technical development teams. The primary objective is to translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring that all IT solutions are robust, scalable, and perfectly aligned with the organizational needs of KAHRAMAA.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Translation: Gather, document, and analyze business requirements provided by the BA; decompose high-level information into actionable technical details.
- Technical Documentation: Create detailed functional specifications, system architecture flows, process maps, and comprehensive system documentation.
- Gap & Workflow Analysis: Conduct thorough gap analysis between as-is and to-be system states; design efficient system workflows, use cases, and user stories.
- Development Collaboration: Work closely with developers to ensure requirements are implemented accurately; provide technical guidance throughout the build phase.
- Optimization & Quality: Identify system bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvement; ensure system integrity and maintainability.
- Traceability & Change Management: Maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and manage technical change documentation to prevent scope creep.
Competencies and Skills
- Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on systems thinking and technical aptitude.
- Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in modeling tools and notations, specifically UML and BPMN.
- SDLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Technical Foundation: Solid knowledge of database concepts, data modeling, and SQL for data analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Experience with requirements management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Experience and Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
Required Experience:
- Proven years of experience in Systems Analysis, specifically meeting the Skill Band requirements (Junior/Mid/Senior) defined in Article 4.2.4 of the Tender Appendix.
- Prior experience in large-scale utility companies or complex government IT environments is highly advantageous.
