Overview
We are seeking an experienced System Architect to design and govern the technical architecture for Smart Utilities & Infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient systems that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end system architecture, including hardware, software, networking, and system integration.
- Translate business and operational requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
- Develop architecture designs, technical specifications, and implementation standards.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and infrastructure solutions.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Support system integration, testing, commissioning, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.
- Identify technical risks and work with project teams to develop effective mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in system or enterprise architecture.
- Proven experience designing distributed, cloud, or hybrid architectures.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server) and data architecture.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and secure-by-design principles.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and data storage technologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
