Job Purpose
To manage the Group tax systems, tax processes, controls, procedures and tax compliance across all divisions, ensure tax systems are efficient & effective and monitor compliance to tax processes. Propose optimization to the Tax System and Data and propose / implement the future Tax Tech Strategy in coordination with IT team & External implementor.
Strategic Roles and Responsibilities
- Provides support to the Tax Director in managing systems and processes, tax controls and procedures for the Group
- Provide support in reviewing Tax compliance of the Group in close collaboration with Head of Direct & Indirect Tax and other Tax Team members
- Ensures compliance with local tax laws and accounting standards.
- Manages systems and processes risks
- Support AI implementation in Tax environment
- Continually improve and enhance systems and process
- Create and maintain the Group Tax Control framework
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the improvement of the tax solutions and business processes
- Liaise with relevant managers and stakeholders to ensure full collaboration and understanding on critical topics
- Streamline tax processes through automation
- Compile the annual tax filings including Corporate Tax, Withholding tax, Tax retention, Zakat, etc. prior to submission to the local authorities
- Ensure correct and timely filing of all Direct tax compliances based on country specific tax calendars
- Manage the tax provision and supervise tax balances in the general ledger
- Create a system to track all tax compliance obligations
- Develop and implement Tax Technology Roadmap
- Continually improve systems and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Completed ERP transition project to SAP S4Hana or Tax system lead in current position
- Ensure all tax systems and processes are documented on a central database
- Provide support during Indirect and Direct tax audits
- Handles requests for information on Tax systems and processes
- Conduct relevant workshops/training throughout the year to keep business up to date on tax systems and processes
- Provide trainings, workshops and learning sessions on the Tax Control framework

- Maintains and upgrade professional knowledge, management skills and domain expertise by using continuous learning development tools
Job Requirements
Education/Certification and Continued Education
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in finance
- Professional Tax Qualification such as Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA/ACA/ATT) or equivalent SAP (Tax Certification) in an advantage
Years of Experience
- Minimum 8 years in a tax role
- Knowledge of GCC tax regulations is an advantage
- Experienced in managing Tax systems and processes with 3 to 5 years experienced in systems implementation
- Must have done SAP Tax implementation
