We are looking for an experienced Systems Architect Lead Database Services to drive enterprise database strategy across on-premises and multi-cloud (Azure & GCP) environments.
This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for architecture, operations, modernization, high availability, and performance optimization of mission-critical database platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead enterprise database architecture standards and roadmaps
- Design highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions
- Lead hybrid & multi-cloud database migrations and modernization initiatives
- Manage SQL & NoSQL platforms across on-prem, Azure, and GCP
- Oversee HA/DR, backup, replication, and failover strategies
- Drive performance tuning, automation, monitoring, and cost optimization
- Lead and mentor senior DBAs and database engineers
- Act as the key technical interface with application and business teams
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise database architecture & engineering experience
- Strong expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Managed Instance, Azure Fabric
- Experience with Google Cloud database services
- Proven experience in high availability, DR, performance tuning & large-scale SQL environments
- Strong background in data warehouses and data lakes
- Experience leading database teams in complex enterprise environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Azure / GCP / ITIL certifications (preferred)
