Job Description

Tailor

As a Tailor, you will ensure to mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms by hand stitching, applyingadhesive patches, or using a sewing machine.

What you will be doing:

• Perform timely repairs on all items of uniform, linen, and upholstery.
• Stitchnew uniforms, and items of linen and upholstery as per hotel specifications.
• Ensure that all linen and uniforms are repaired before issuing them to staff.
• Measure, make, or alter uniforms for new employees
• Take care of basic alterations requested by guests.
• Repair and maintain uniforms for all hotel employees.
• Convert discarded linen into usable items for re-circulation.
• Organize and take inventory of all fabric materials.
• To liaise with Uniform making companies regarding measurement taking, sizes, stitching details etc…
• Keep the tailoring area clean and tidy.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Profession tailoring skill is essential
• Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for service
