Job Summary

Join Farah's Guest Experience team as a Seamstress and bring your craftsmanship to life behind the scenes, ensuring every costume shines on stage with flawless detail. You'll repair, alter, and create costumes for shows and events, collaborate with production teams to meet artistic visions, and maintain meticulous inventories while sharing expertise to elevate teamwork. With at least two years of sewing experience—ideally in theatre or theme parks—you'll thrive by balancing precision with creativity, from hand-stitching repairs to operating industrial machines and managing daily laundry needs. The ideal candidate combines technical skill with a passion for storytelling through fabric, ensuring performers look their best while fostering a positive, collaborative environment. Here, your work directly enhances guest experiences, and your craftsmanship becomes part of Farah's magic.

Responsibilities

  • Altering and repairing existing costumes for show productions, as well as costumes and craft piece fabrication
  • Participates in off-site or on-site public relations events involving costumes and performers
  • Help with daily laundry for including washing, hanging, ironing and steaming all costume pieces
  • Assists in wig styling if required after providing appropriate training
  • Assists in checking in and out of costumes on daily basis as needed
  • Help Costuming Assistant Manager/Costuming Operations Support Manager in maintaining accurate and up to date costume inventories
  • Performs any Costume Attendant duties as required
  • Keeps track of supplies and places orders for replacements in a timely manner
  • Attends Costuming department meetings
  • Helps to create a fun and safe working environment
  • Interface with all colleagues and outside vendors in a professional and courteous manner when needed

Qualifications

  • Higher secondary education
  • Higher secondary or equivalent education
  • Associate degree or higher in theatre
  • Minimum of 2 years sewing background
  • 5 years sewing background
  • 2 years with theme park, theatre productions and/or cruise ship experience
