Job Description
Role Purpose:
The UX Researcher (Fresher) supports the discovery and understanding of user needs, behaviors, and pain points through basic qualitative and quantitative research activities.
This role focuses on learning research methods, assisting in studies, synthesizing findings, and sharing insights that inform product and design decisions, while balancing user needs and business goals.
Key Accountabilities:
1- User Research Support;
- Assist senior researchers in planning and conducting user research
- Support qualitative methods such as interviews, observation, and usability testing
- Support quantitative methods such as surveys and basic data analysis
- Help recruit participants and coordinate research logistics
2- Research Synthesis & Insights;
- Help organize and synthesize research data
- Identify basic user needs, pain points, and patterns
- Assist in creating personas, journey maps, and needs statements
3- Usability Testing & Evaluation;
- Support usability testing sessions (moderated or unmoderated)
- Observe user behavior and document usability issues
- Assist in analyzing usability findings with measurable observations
4- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement;
- Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Developers
- Share research findings in simple, clear formats
- Participate in ideation and concept discussions
5- User Advocacy & Learning;
- Represent the user perspective in discussions
- Learn industry-standard UX research methods and ethics
- Stay updated on UX research tools and best practices
Skills
- Basic understanding of UX research methods (qualitative & quantitative)
- Familiarity with surveys, interviews, and usability testing
- Basic data analysis and synthesis skills
- Presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
- Strong curiosity and empathy for users
- Good listening and observation skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Portfolio or academic projects demonstrating research work
- Proficient in English
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
