JOB PURPOSE
Plan, execute and supervise daily marine operations of ADNOC Distribution tanker fleet vessels in order toensure cargo is handled safely and in line with operating targets and applicable regulations and standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Job Specific Accountabilities
Operations Management
u2022 Coordinate with ship masters of ADNOCu2019s chartered tankers providing guidance in the related areasencouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes to ensure tanker operationstargets are met.
u2022 Ensure the cargo handling it is done in accordance with approved safety and operational efficiencystandards and procedures and ensure adequate reporting.
u2022 Supervise day-to-day operations and handling of the tankers and verify reports and logbooks to ensurethat ships are being operated safely and in compliance with ADNOCu2019s procedures and international flagstate laws.
u2022 Plan voyages and use in-house monitoring systems to monitor vessel operations including ship/ shoreloading efficiency, passage performance, ship performance, ship condition, cargo measurement, crew,and ship operation standards in order to identify and resolve any issues.
u2022 Administer the ship vetting/ inspection system and direct ships officers on such matters and onmonitoring ship/ shore interface.
u2022 Liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels, including legal and insurancedepartments, customers, terminal operators and discharging ports, to ensure smooth flow of shipoperations.
u2022 Supervise tanker operations onshore and offshore staff, contributing to their performance management,recruitment, training and development to ensure high-level of engagement and a motivated workenvironment.
u2022 Plan and controls discharge orders to ensure the economic turnaround of vessels in order to avoiddelays in discharge and consequent demurrage claims. This includes coordinating with suppliers,ship owners, port authorities, shipping agents, terminal operations personnel and other users of the port facilities and ensuring that the nominated vessels do not clash with vessels of other users andthat the vessels comply with all port terminal regulations.
u2022 Execute the monthly nomination and 13 weeks plan and coordinate with ADNOC Marketing to sendtimely cargo nominations and with receiving terminals to ensure berths and ullage availability.
u2022 Creates and control all system transactions (GRNs, PTNs, PDNs, PINs) in ERP system to match loadingand discharge operations transactions.
u2022 In time processing of invoices related to Charter, Agents, Third Party Inspection company & Portsauthorities.
Maintenance
u2022 Ensure all ships comply with international and flag state laws to make sure that ships are capable ofperforming the intended voyages.
u2022 Ensure compliance with all national, International, company and class standards as well as the hull anddeck maintenance for the fleet.
u2022 Ensure through Ship owner that any maintenance related to Cargo storage and handling system is inalignment with the international / industry requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
u2022 Diploma Certificate or higher in related field
u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree will be preferred
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
u2022 5 years of experience in Oil terminal operations
