ADNOC Trading Limited (AT) is seeking an ambitious, motivated, Corporate Tax Manager to join its Finance team in Abu Dhabi.

Incorporated in the Abu Dhabi Global Market, Abu Dhabi's international financial centre, AT commenced commercial operations in December 2020 and currently trades crude oil, LNG and emissions. It has plans to expand the range of products its trades over time as well as extending its geographical expansion by opening offices overseas.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all direct tax and Transfer Pricing matters across our offices in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Geneva. This includes ensuring full compliance with local and international tax regulations, managing tax filings, optimizing tax efficiency, and coordinating with external consultants and auditors as required. The role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to ensure that all tax activities align with the company's financial and regulatory obligations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Set standards for processes to drive accurate and timely preparation of management information
  • Identify and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and risks
  • Manage direct tax compliance (corporate income tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing etc.) across Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Geneva.
  • Oversee indirect tax compliance (VAT/GST) across Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Geneva, currently outsourced.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation, filing, and payment of all statutory tax obligations in each jurisdiction.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance and accuracy of tax filings
  • Research and analyze tax issues and regulations and provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions
  • Support internal stakeholders with cross-border tax implications, including transfer pricing and intercompany transactions.
  • Ownership of supporting the business by addressing any transaction related queries.
  • Develop and maintain robust tax governance and control frameworks to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare and maintain tax provisions and reconciliations in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Manage tax audits and queries from authorities, ensuring appropriate documentation and responses.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional Qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CTA, CFA or equivalent

Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in international tax, including exposure to Asia and Europe.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax, VAT/GST, and international tax frameworks (OECD/BEPS).
  • Experience in liaising with consultants and managing multi-jurisdictional tax matters.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
