A leading technology-focused hedge fund is looking to appoint an International Tax Manager to oversee its APAC tax function from Singapore. This is a newly created position during a critical stage of the firm's continued growth. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, the successful candidate will become the principal tax adviser for the APAC region while also contributing to the wider global tax agenda
This is predominantly an advisory focused role, which involves providing commercially pragmatic guidance on complex cross-border transactions, operating models and international expansion. You will advise on areas including transfer pricing, withholding tax, indirect taxes and the application of tax treaties, OECD guidance and local legislation across several APAC jurisdictions.
You will also support the firm's entry into new markets, monitor international tax developments including Pillar Two, prepare technical memoranda and contribute to initiatives designed to automate and improve the efficiency of the tax function. This is a hands-on role offering considerable autonomy and direct exposure to senior stakeholders.
The firm is seeking a qualified, international tax professional, with approximately 7–13 years of relevant experience either in a tech focused or buy-side firm, with strong technical knowledge of tax matters across APAC. You should be comfortable interpreting complex legislation, treaties and international guidance, translating technical analysis into practical commercial advice and managing matters across multiple jurisdictions.
