About the Role:
From September 2026, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding
Teacher of Girls Physical Education to join the college. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching
GCSE Physical Education,A Level Physical Education and/or BTEC Level 3 Sport. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in coaching one or more of our core sports of
football, netball, volleyball and basketball.
The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and effective. In 2025 the results in GCSE were outstanding, with 100% of students receiving 9-5 grades. At A-Level, the results were equally impressive with 80% A*- C.
The opportunities which PE presents for students are central to the philosophy of the school. As a result, this appointment is crucial to the continued development of Jumeirah College.
Skills
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
- A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
- At least 2 years experience of the National Curriculum for England.
- Experience teaching GCSE Physical Education, A Level Physical Education and/or BTEC Level 3 Sport. We are seeking to appoint a talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individual. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
- Experience coaching one or more of our core sports of football, netball, volleyball and basketball.
- A mindset which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
- Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
