Team Lead Snowflake AI & Cortex Platform

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead - Snowflake AI & Cortex Platform to lead the design, development, and operations of enterprise-grade AI agents built on Investment Data. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned Snowflake professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong people management skills.

You will lead a team of Data Engineers and AI Engineers responsible for building, scaling, and governing AI solutions leveraging Snowflake Cortex and Large Language Models (LLMs) . As the organisation's Snowflake and AI subject matter expert, you will define the technical strategy, ensure platform reliability, establish engineering best practices, and drive innovation in AI-driven analytics and automation.

This role is based in Singapore and requires regular onsite collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Strategy & Architecture

• Own and drive the technical roadmap for Snowflake Cortex AI agents and related AI/ML platforms.

• Design scalable architectures for AI agents, semantic search, and enterprise AI applications.

• Lead the development and productionisation of Snowflake Cortex capabilities, including:

  • Cortex Agents

  • Cortex Analyst

  • Cortex Search

  • Cortex LLM Functions

  • Snowflake Intelligence / CoWork

Platform Optimisation & Governance

• Drive Snowflake platform optimisation through performance tuning, warehouse sizing, workload management, cost governance, and scalable data architecture.

• Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across investment data domains.

• Oversee data access controls, RBAC, classification, metadata and lineage management, data quality frameworks, and regulatory compliance.

Team Leadership & Delivery

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Engineers and AI Engineers.

• Review architecture, code, and solution designs to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Drive code and design reviews, establish engineering best practices, and troubleshoot complex production issues.

• Partner with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into agent capabilities and prioritise the team backlog.

• Report on team progress, risks, and platform health to senior stakeholders.

• Manage resourcing, hiring, and team development.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake administration and architecture.

• Proven experience with Snowflake Cortex capabilities, including AI agents, search, and LLM-powered solutions.

• Strong understanding of data engineering, data governance, security, and access management concepts.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data and AI solution development.

• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) , prompt engineering, and AI application development.

• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and enterprise data architectures.

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience establishing engineering standards, reviewing solution designs, and leading technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• SnowPro Certification or equivalent Snowflake expertise.

• Experience leading Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or AI Engineering teams.

• Exposure to enterprise AI initiatives, RAG solutions, or AI agent frameworks.

• Experience working in regulated environments such as Financial Services, Banking, or Investment Management.

• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
