Role Description The Team Leader Mechanical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ain Sokhna. This role oversees mechanical engineering activities, leading the design and review of mechanical systems for infrastructure and building projects. Responsibilities include guiding mechanical design teams, coordinating CAD work, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. The Team Leader Mechanical Engineer plans and monitors project timelines, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and provides technical support during construction and commissioning. The role also involves contributing to R&D initiatives, optimizing mechanical solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and preparing technical reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with proven experience leading mechanical design teams and complex projects.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and practical application of mechanical systems in infrastructure and building projects.
- Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, reviewing, and optimizing mechanical drawings and models.
- Demonstrated Project Management capabilities, including planning, coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D), with the ability to evaluate new technologies and improve engineering solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of relevant international and local mechanical codes and standards; experience in MENA-region projects is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor team members and collaborate in multidisciplinary environments.
- Willingness to work on-site in Ain Sokhna and travel to project locations as required.
