Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Executives.
- Set clear acquisition and revenue targets for the team.
- Monitor performance metrics, pipeline progress, and onboarding success rates.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and training programs.
- Ensure alignment with business goals and marketplace growth strategy.
Seller Acquisition & Marketplace Expansion
- Develop and execute seller acquisition strategies across offline and online channels.
- Identify and onboard high-potential sellers to strengthen assortment depth and category coverage.
- Drive expansion into new seller segments and market clusters.
- Ensure consistent pipeline generation and conversion.
Onboarding & Growth Enablement
- Oversee seamless seller onboarding and platform integration.
- Ensure sellers understand platform policies, pricing strategies, and operational workflows.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Category, Tech) to support seller success.
- Monitor seller performance and support scaling strategies for revenue growth.
Relationship Management & Commercial Oversight
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key sellers and partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and promotional participation.
- Ensure competitive pricing and optimal assortment positioning.
- Resolve escalations and support sellers through operational challenges.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track KPIs including seller acquisition, activation rate, revenue contribution, and retention.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Identify performance gaps and recommend strategic improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- 47 years of experience in Business Development, Seller Acquisition, or Field Sales.
- Prior leadership or team management experience preferred.
- Background in e-commerce, FMCG, distribution, or retail is an advantage.
- Proven track record of meeting acquisition and revenue targets.
