Job Summary

Experienced Stewarding Team Leader responsible for supervising and coordinating stewarding staff to ensure a safe, secure, and well-organized environment at events or venues. Skilled in team leadership, crowd control, customer service, and compliance with safety regulations. Proven ability to brief teams, manage incidents, communicate effectively with supervisors and security teams, and maintain high standards of professionalism and service under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate stewarding staff during events or daily operations
• Allocate duties and positions to team members according to event or venue requirements
• Conduct pre-event briefings and ensure staff understand roles, responsibilities, and safety procedures
• Monitor crowd behavior and manage entry, exit, and queue control to ensure public safety
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, or customer concerns in a calm and professional manner
• Liaise with security, management, and emergency services when required
• Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and venue regulations
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times
• Complete incident reports and provide feedback to management
• Support training and development of stewarding staff
  
  

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
• Knowledge of crowd management and conflict resolution techniques
• High level of customer service and professionalism
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Previous experience in stewarding, security, or event operations
• Proven experience supervising or leading a team
• Experience working at events, venues, stadiums, or public facilities
• Familiarity with incident reporting and emergency procedures
• Experience coordinating with security teams and venue management
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant stewarding or security training certificates (desirable)
• Health & Safety or First Aid certification (preferred)
• Ongoing training in crowd management or leadership (an advantage)
