Job Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Head of Mobile App to lead our mobile engineering team and drive innovation across iOS and Android platforms reporting to Director Technology. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Flutter framework, Native mobile architecture, design patterns, and end-to-end delivery management. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution to ensure our mobile app products are performant, secure, and integrated with enterprise backend systems, analytics, and marketing technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing mobile development team across iOS, Android based on Flutter/Native mobile platform.
- Define and enforce mobile architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Oversee Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) integrations with platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud, analytics platforms, and marketing automation systems.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Delivery Leads, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of mobile initiatives with business objectives.
- Work with backend, analytics, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow across systems.
- Manage end-to-end mobile delivery, including project planning, prioritization, resource management, and timely release cycles.
- Monitor and optimize mobile app performance, scalability, and reliability, using KPIs and analytics.
- Own mobile CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and app operations, ensuring smooth deployment and high availability.
- Hands-on coding involvement, code reviews, and guiding team technical decisions.
- Ensure mobile security compliance, data privacy, and adherence to industry standards.
- Drive innovation in mobile applications, exploring new technologies, frameworks, and user experiences.
- Act as a representative of mobile apps to senior stakeholders, providing updates, technical guidance, and strategic insights.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in mobile application development, with proven leadership of leading mobile app team and end to end delivery.
- 3+ Year Hands-on expertise with Futter framework (widgets, state management, rendering, navigation), Dart language, as well as native iOS and Android development.
- Experience integrating mobile apps with enterprise backend systems (e.g., SAP Commerce Cloud), analytics platforms (GA4, Adjust, Mixpanel), Marketing automation stack (Horizon, Emarsys) and other third-party tools.
- Deep understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, Custom widget development, Framework upgrades and BFF integration approach
- Hands-on experience in mobile performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring KPIs.
- Proven Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (Codemagic, GitHub Actions, bitbucket), and release management for mobile apps.
- Ability to define and enforce coding standards, code quality, and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of mobile performance tuning, including memory management, battery optimization, and efficient rendering practices
- Familiarity with analytics, A/B testing, and mobile user behavior tracking.
- Knowledge of mobile security standards, authentication, and data protection.
- Strong stakeholder management skills; able to represent mobile initiatives to senior leadership and work closely with Product and Delivery Leads.
