ASGC, one of the UAE's leading vertically integrated construction groups, is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join its Technical Department in Dubai and contribute to the delivery of landmark high-rise and complex developments across the UAE.
This role plays a critical part in bridging architectural design with construction execution, ensuring technical accuracy, BIM coordination, and seamless integration between design consultants and site teams.
Role Overview
The Technical Architect will lead the preparation and coordination of architectural technical deliverables, ensuring alignment between design intent, BIM models, and site construction requirements while maintaining compliance with UAE regulations and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Technical Production
- Prepare and coordinate detailed architectural shop drawings including concrete dimensions, setting-out, blockwork layouts, and high-end finishing details.
- Ensure architectural documentation is fully coordinated with structural and MEP disciplines.
BIM Coordination
- Lead multi-disciplinary BIM coordination using Revit and Navisworks.
- Conduct clash detection and manage resolution between Architectural, Structural, and MEP trades.
High-Rise Project Coordination
- Manage architectural coordination related to faade interfaces, expansion joints, transfer slabs, and core areas in high-rise developments.
- Ensure proper integration of complex faade systems and building envelope components.
Technical Management
- Prepare and manage RFIs, technical clarifications, and architectural material submittals.
- Coordinate with consultants to address comments and secure approvals.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all architectural deliverables comply with project specifications, UAE Life Safety Code, Dubai Municipality, and Dubai Civil Defense requirements.
Site Technical Support
- Provide practical solutions to site buildability issues.
- Support site teams with technical guidance and oversee preparation of as-built documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
- 815 years of experience in architectural technical coordination within the construction industry
- Minimum 5 years experience with a Tier-1 contractor in the UAE
- Proven involvement in high-rise towers (50+ storeys) or complex mixed-use developments
Technical Skills
- Revit (Mandatory) and AutoCAD
- Strong working knowledge of Navisworks and Aconex
- Strong expertise in:
- Waterproofing systems
- Faade interfaces
- Reinforced concrete architectural detailing
