Technical Business Analyst

Role: Technical Business Analyst / Technical Analyst — Digital Delivery

About the Role:

We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to sit at the center of our digital delivery programmes — translating business intent into precise, technically sound specifications that development teams can build from directly. This is a hands-on technical BA role, not a traditional process-documentation function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the full requirements lifecycle — discovery, elicitation, specification, development handover, QA support, and production acceptance
• Write technical-grade functional specs: user stories with precise acceptance criteria, API contract requirements, mobile UX flows, business rules, and edge cases
• Own API specification and integration documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger) in collaboration with solution architects
• Document integrations between digital channels and core banking systems — data flows, event triggers, and transformation logic
• Lead requirements workshops with business stakeholders and product owners
• Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) across the delivery lifecycle
• Support QA with test scenario design and act as functional oracle during SIT/UAT
• Own UAT coordination, defect triage, and sign-off support
• Perform gap analysis between current and target state systems
• Produce and maintain BRDs, functional specs, data mapping docs, and API contracts
• Act as the translation layer between business stakeholders and technical squads
• Proactively flag functional/requirements risks to delivery leadership

Requirements:

• 10+ years in BA roles, 5+ years as a technical BA on digital banking/fintech programmes
• Technical foundation (dev, API design, systems integration, or architecture background)
• Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger and REST API design principles
• Experience documenting core banking integrations (Finacle, Nucleus, FLEXCUBE, TSYS, or similar)
• Strong technical writing skills for user stories and acceptance criteria
• QA/UAT experience in regulated environments
• Understanding of mobile app delivery mechanics
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, agile delivery
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related; CBAP/BCS BA certification preferred
