The Role
We are looking for a Technical Co-Founder / Founding Engineer to join at an early stage and lead the technical vision, architecture, and development of the product. You will work closely with the founder to transform validated business needs into a scalable SaaS solution.
This role is ideal for someone who wants ownership, impact, and equity, not just a job.
Responsibilities
Design and build the MVP and core product architecture
Lead technical decision-making (stack, scalability, security)
Develop backend services, APIs, and database architecture
Build or oversee frontend implementation
Ensure system scalability, reliability, and maintainability
Collaborate on product roadmap and technical strategy
Support future hiring of the technical team
Required Experience
510+ years of professional software engineering experience
Previous experience building SaaS products or scalable web applications
Experience as a startup engineer, founding engineer, or tech lead is a strong plus
Comfortable working in early-stage, ambiguous environments
Technical Skills (Required)
Backend (at least one):
Node.js (NestJS / Express)
Python (Django / FastAPI)
Ruby on Rails
Java / Spring Boot
Frontend:
React.js (required)
Experience with modern UI frameworks and state management
Databases:
PostgreSQL / MySQL
Experience with relational data modeling
Basic knowledge of NoSQL is a plus
Cloud & Infrastructure:
AWS / GCP / Azure
Experience with Docker
CI/CD basics
Cloud-native architecture mindset
Nice to Have
Experience with workforce management, scheduling, or HR systems
Exposure to optimization logic, automation, or rule-based systems
Experience working with no-code/low-code tools during MVP stages
Previous startup exit or scale-up experience
