Roles & responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed interior fit-out shop drawings using AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with the joinery division drafting team to ensure timely preparation of joinery shop drawings.
- Supervise, guide, and coordinate the draftsmen assigned under him.
- Review drawings prepared by the drafting team before submission.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and as-built drawings.
- Prepare and maintain shop drawing logs, material submittal logs, and RFI logs, ensuring they are accurate and up to date at all times.
- Review design drawings, specifications, and tender documents for technical compliance.
- Identify discrepancies and raise RFIs or technical queries where required.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, site teams, designers, MEP teams, BIM teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, consultant requirements, design intent, and authority regulations.
- Track submission status and follow up on consultant reviews and approvals.
- Ensure timely incorporation of consultant comments and resubmission of revised drawings.
- Maintain technical logs, submission schedules, and document control records.
- Assist in planning technical submission schedules and monitor progress against the project programme.
- Attend project progress meetings and provide updates on technical submissions and coordination status.
- Attend technical coordination meetings and provide solutions for drawing- and site-related issues.
- Support authority submissions such as DCD, DDA, Dubai Municipality, and other relevant approvals where applicable.
Must have skills:
- 10+ years of overall exp. with relevant exp. as a Technical Coordinator in a Fit out company
- Experience in AutoCAD and preparation of shop drawings
- Experience in supervising a team of Draftsmen & review the work before submisisons
- Experience in Technical Coordination with internal teams and authorities
