Job Overview (Hiring for Riyadh)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Designer to join our team in the events and exhibitions industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and execution plans for exhibition stands, event setups, and installations.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans using CAD software
- Develop 2D drawings and 3D models for exhibitions, booths, and event setups
- Create floor plans, elevations, sections, and execution drawings
- Convert design concepts into practical and production-ready drawings
Technical Coordination
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and production teams
- Identify and resolve design and technical issues
- Revise drawings based on feedback and project requirements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and venue requirements
Material & Production Support
- Specify materials, finishes, and construction details
- Perform basic calculations for materials and structural feasibility
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material selection
Project & Site Support
- Support project timelines and coordinate with teams for execution
- Provide on-site assistance during installation when required
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during setup
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation
- Prepare technical reports and presentations when required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in technical drafting, preferably in events & exhibitions
- Strong experience in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.)
- Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage
- Experience working in the GCC region preferred
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, materials, and production processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and layouts
