We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Interior Design Team Leader to lead the technical delivery of luxury interior design projects supporting our UAE operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the technical design team, overseeing the production of coordinated construction documentation, driving BIM and Revit workflows, and ensuring all technical deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Technical Interior Design Team Leader will play a critical role in translating approved design concepts into fully coordinated, construction-ready documentation while ensuring efficient project delivery across multiple high-end residential, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Technical Interior Designers, Revit Modelers, and CAD Draftsmen, ensuring high performance and technical excellence.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones and business priorities.
- Establish and enforce technical standards, BIM protocols, documentation procedures, and quality assurance processes across all projects.
- Review technical deliverables to ensure consistency, constructability, and compliance with company standards.
- Support the technical development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and regular performance evaluations.
- Lead the preparation, coordination, and review of complete construction documentation packages for luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, retail, and mixed-use interior projects.
- Oversee the production of:
- General Arrangement Drawings
- Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs)
- Interior Elevations and Sections
- Detailed Joinery and Millwork Packages
- Flooring and Ceiling Layouts
- Construction Details
- Material & Finish Schedules
- Door, Ironmongery, and Furniture Schedules
- BOQs and Technical Documentation
- Ensure all technical drawings accurately reflect the approved design intent while remaining practical, buildable, and compliant with project requirements.
- Review, redline, and approve technical documentation before client or consultant submission.
- Lead BIM implementation and Revit model coordination throughout all project stages.
- Ensure compliance with company BIM standards and documentation procedures.
- Coordinate technical packages with Architecture, Structure, MEP, Procurement, Site, and Project Management teams to eliminate clashes and improve project efficiency.
- Resolve technical issues proactively through effective multidisciplinary coordination.
- Monitor project progress, deliverables, and technical milestones to ensure successful project execution.
- Participate in technical coordination meetings with UAE project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Provide technical support during tender, procurement, shop drawing reviews, and construction phases.
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and material submissions to ensure technical compliance.
- Implement and maintain rigorous QA/QC procedures across all technical deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, local building codes, international standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain accurate document control, revision management, and technical records throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Technical Interior Design, with a strong portfolio of high-end interior fit-out projects.
- Minimum 4 years of experience leading technical teams within an Interior Design or Architectural Consultancy.
- Mandatory experience delivering UAE/GCC interior design projects.
- Proven experience leading teams of Technical Interior Designers, Revit Modelers, and CAD Draftsmen.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of BIM workflows, multidisciplinary coordination, and construction documentation.
- Extensive experience in technical detailing, joinery, millwork, bespoke interiors, and luxury fit-out documentation.
- Strong understanding of UAE authority requirements, building regulations, and international construction standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining exceptional technical quality and delivery standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
