Job SummaryWe are seeking a Data Engineering Lead/Architect with extensive hands-on Snowflake expertise and a proven track record in designing scalable, client-facing data solutions. This role requires a hands-on architect who can lead solution development while actively contributing to the implementation of data engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement end-to-end Snowflake data platforms tailored to client needs.
- Define architecture for data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and consumption.
- Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to enhance data quality and accessibility.
- Work hands-on with Snowflake features including Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and Snowpark.
- Drive performance optimization and cost efficiency across data solutions.
- Apply Snowflake Cortex / Intelligence in real-world use cases to enhance data processing.
- Leverage AI pair programming tools to improve productivity and code quality.
- Collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders, translating business needs into effective data solutions.
- Mentor team members and enforce best practices in data engineering.
Mandatory Skills- 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing.
- Strong hands-on Snowflake implementation experience is a deal breaker.
- Expertise in Data Modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Medallion Architecture and its implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex / Intelligence for data optimization.
- Familiarity with AI pair programming tools such as Claude and Copilot.
- Strong SQL skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven client-facing experience with a focus on delivering solutions.
Note: This position requires readiness to work in shifts ending at 1 AM IST.
Preferred Skills- Exposure to Snowflake MCP and its functionalities.
- Familiarity with the Claude AI suite for enhanced data workflows.
- Experience with Snowpark, dbt, ADF, and Kafka Stream.
- Understanding of AI-driven data workflows and their applications.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and quality assurance.
- Experience with Tableau and Streamlit-in-Snowflake for data visualization.
- Knowledge of Data Governance, RBAC design, and compliance with PII regulations.
Soft Skills- Strong communication and TA-Stakeholder management skills.
- Ownership mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to balance hands-on development with solution architecture.
