Job Summary:
Our client, a leading Main Contractor in the UAE, is seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager to oversee the design coordination and technical aspects of high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate must be a qualified Architect with a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification work experience in high-rise building construction. The Technical Manager will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, compliance with regulations, and seamless integration of architectural and engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the technical aspects of high-rise building projects, ensuring design and execution align with industry standards.
- Oversee architectural designs, structural coordination, and MEP integration to achieve project objectives.
- Review and approve technical drawings, material specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project.
- Ensure adherence to UAE building codes, authority regulations, and international best practices.
- Conduct design risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to resolve design and construction challenges.
- Manage document control and approvals related to design changes and technical submittals.
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure high-quality execution in line with approved designs.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience, with strong exposure to high-rise building projects in the UAE.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in architectural design, construction methodologies, and coordination of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE building codes, authority approvals, and compliance requirements.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and other relevant architectural software.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead technical teams and ensure project success.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Certifications: LEED, PMP, or equivalent certification is an added advantage
