Technical MEP Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and coordinate MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Ensure all MEP systems (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical, Plumbing) comply with contract specifications, local codes, and industry standards.
• Coordinate between architectural, structural, and MEP trades to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth execution.
• Prepare and review MEP method statements and work procedures in coordination with site teams.
• Participate in technical meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and the client's representatives.
• Ensure timely delivery and approval of MEP shop drawings and material submittals.
• Follow up with procurement for long lead MEP items and ensure timely delivery.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
• Support the site team in resolving technical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with approved designs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5:8 years of experience in MEP construction or technical office roles.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems design, codes, and execution practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in coordination using BIM tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
