Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Office Engineer with experience in furniture manufacturing to prepare detailed shop drawings, support production processes, and ensure high-quality execution from design to final product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings for custom furniture items.
- Transform design concepts into accurate, production-ready technical drawings.
- Specify materials including wood types, MDF, veneers, laminates, finishes, and hardware.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation.
- Coordinate closely with production, procurement, and quality control teams.
- Provide technical guidance during manufacturing and resolve production-related issues.
- Inspect completed products to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
- 25 years of experience in the furniture or woodworking industry.
- Strong proficiency in Rhino and AutoCAD
- Solid understanding of furniture materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
