We're Hiring | Mechanical Technical Office Engineer – Healthcare
PapyrusMed | Medical Planning & HealthTech Advisory is looking for a Mechanical Technical Office Engineer with experience in Healthcare / Hospital Projects to join our team on a part-time, remote basis.
Location: Remote — Egypt preferred
Employment: Part-Time
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 3+ years, preferably in healthcare projects
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop MEP mechanical systems for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing.
- Design and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, drainage, medical gases, and related mechanical systems.
- Develop detailed room layouts, services distribution, equipment connections, and mechanical zoning according to clinical requirements.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, material schedules, and technical specifications.
- Review and develop detailed mechanical drawings and construction documents.
- Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, medical planning, and electrical disciplines.
- Review healthcare spaces and ensure mechanical requirements are properly integrated into room layouts and functional planning.
- Support technical submissions, design revisions, and project documentation.
- Mechanical Engineering graduate.
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in hospital / healthcare projects.
- Strong experience in HVAC design, load calculations, quantity surveying/take-off, and technical office works.
- Good understanding of hospital MEP requirements and healthcare design standards.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit MEP is an advantage.
- Strong ability to read, develop, and coordinate multidisciplinary drawings.
- Electrical design/coordination experience is highly preferred to facilitate MEP integration and coordination.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
Experience with healthcare standards and guidelines such as MOH, CBAHI, SFDA, JCI, FGI, IHFG, or equivalent.
