Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect to join their team as a Technical Office Manager.

This role is crucial for overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent technical proficiency in architectural software, and a keen eye for detail in managing drawings, quantities, and site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical office team efficiently.
  • Manage cost analysis activities.
  • Supervise the preparation and review of engineering drawings and technical specifications for projects.
  • Maintain continuous communication with engineers and suppliers to ensure works are executed according to project timelines.
  • Prepare technical reports on work progress and project developments.
  • Ensure adherence to technical office policies and procedures through continuous review of the project contracts, terms and conditions, schedule, review of design drawings, and owner/consultant bill of quantities.
  • Support contract administrators in preparing any technical / cost claims with sufficient information about any variation orders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as an Architect or in a similar technical office role.
  • Excellent command of architectural design and drafting software, including AutoCAD, Revit, 3Ds Max, Lumion, and SketchUp.
  • Strong understanding of quantity surveying and technical specification preparation.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills.
