To maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new Technical Product Owner

Job purpose:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the product backlog, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet market needs and company goals. This role requires a strong understanding of agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable user stories.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Backlog Management:
  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.
  • Ensure that the backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by the team.
  • Break down complex features into manageable user stories.
  1. Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with sales, operation, risk and compliance teams to gather feedback and ensure product success.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the development team.
  1. Agile Practices:
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Continuously refine and improve agile processes within the team.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and the technical team.
  1. Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Provide regular updates on product status, progress, and future plans.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and prioritize conflicting requirements.
  1. User Experience and Requirements:
  • Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure that user experience is a key consideration in product development.
  • Validate product features and functionality through user testing and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Experience with product management tools such as Jira.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification is a plus.
