The Technical Project Manager (TPM) plays a pivotal role in leading and executing complex technical projects from inception through delivery. This senior-management position requires an individual with a deep understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX, product management, and operations. The TPM will be responsible for building comprehensive project plans that encapsulate scope, schedule, milestones, and deliverables while proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies, and establishing effective escalation paths. Success in this role demands strong communication skills, fluency in both Arabic and English, and the ability to create a culture of transparency through governance frameworks, regular stakeholder reporting, and effective communication strategies. This role requires the TPM to ensure quality delivery by establishing quality gates throughout the project lifecycle, tracking progress meticulously via RAID logs, and ensuring that projects are executed on time and within budget.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in technical project management or delivery within a complex technical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to construct and manage detailed project plans encompassing scope, schedule, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Profound experience in risk management including identification, assessment, planning, and monitoring of risks and issues.
  • Proficiency in coordinating delivery across diverse teams such as engineering, UX, product, vendors, and operations to achieve project objectives.
  • Experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks, defining reporting cadence, and effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Track record of ensuring quality delivery through the establishment and monitoring of quality gates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proficient in tracking project progress through RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs and ensuring transparency in project execution timelines and budgets.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English necessary for effective communication across multicultural teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, schedule, key milestones, and deliverables for multiple ongoing technical projects.
  • Anticipate and actively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, establishing clear escalation paths and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate collaborative delivery efforts between multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, user experience, product management, and operational stakeholders.
  • Establish robust governance and reporting frameworks to promote transparency, regular stakeholder engagement, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to stringent quality standards by implementing established quality gates, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and overseeing release planning.
  • Monitor project progress meticulously, utilizing RAID logs to identify potential roadblocks or delays and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to communicate project status, align expectations, and manage any changes to project scope or timelines.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by integrating lessons learned from past projects into future planning and execution strategies.
  • Balance project constraints including time, cost, quality, and scope to ensure successful project delivery while adhering to organizational standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and support project team members, cultivating their professional development and enhancing team performance.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, and tools, ideally including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively guide diverse teams and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying project risks and formulating effective mitigation strategies.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English, with a focus on clear and concise stakeholder engagement.
  • Expert organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong technical acumen with an understanding of software development life cycles, system engineering, and UX principles.
  • Proficient in the use of project management software and tools for tracking progress and reporting (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).
  • Ability to develop and enforce quality assurance measures to ensure the highest quality of project deliverables.
  • A solid understanding of change management principles and the ability to manage change effectively while minimizing disruption.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment and enhancing overall project delivery through continuous risk assessment and problem-solving.
