About the Role

Al Shoumoukh Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer - Chemicals, specializing in selling chemical products, and services across the UAE with a special focus on ADNOC and oil and gas clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of drilling chemicals, production chemicals, water treatment chemicals, petrochemicals, industrial chemicals, excellent client relationship skills, and proven experience selling into upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the oil & gas sector, focusing on chemical products and related solutions.
  • Capable of achieving high value sales order
  • Sell a variety of Chemicals to be used in different industries with a special focus to oil and gas sector and Tender Based Sales
  • Identify potential manufactures and suppliers for Chemical Business
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to negotiation, closing deals, and post-sales support.
  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules.
  • Experience in tendering, costing and commercial proposals preparation. Prepare / Review technical and commercial proposals for tendering process
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and product presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, operations, logistics, procurement) to ensure accurate delivery of orders.
  • Attending bidding and final negotiations with customers. To bring the new business by targeting new market segments
  • Analyzing marketing trends and tracking competitor's activities and providing valuable inputs for the prospective supply of new line of business, resources, and professional networks.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities to maximize client potential in designated regions.
  • Execute and promote the company's business activities to ensure continuous development and new business opportunities.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and supporting documents for tender submission

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry/Petroleum Engineering.
  • 5 plus years of technical sales experience in the oil & gas chemical sector in Technical Sales (e.g., drilling chemicals, production chemicals, water treatment, corrosion inhibitors, scale management, etc.).
  • Strong technical understanding of chemical applications in upstream and downstream operations.
  • Existing network within oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, service companies, and industrial clients in the UAE is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess client needs and recommend technical solutions.
  • Valid UAE drivers license.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in tendering, ADNOC registration, and pre-qualification processes.
  • Existing UAE Industry Network Preferred
  • Based in Abu Dhabi and having experience in Oil and Gas Sector
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and industry best practices.
