Technical Support Engineer (Protection Engineering)

We are hiring experienced Protection Engineers for Utility Scale BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects.

Location: Bisha, Saudi Arabia

Industry: Renewable Energy / Power System / Energy Storage

Position: Technical Support Engineer (Protection Engineering)

Key Responsibilities:

• Protection relay configuration, testing, and commissioning

• Protection coordination and relay settings calculation

• Troubleshooting protection and control system issues

• FAT / SAT / Energization support

• Review protection philosophy, SLD, schematics, and logic diagrams

• Support grid compliance and utility interface requirements

• Coordination with PCS, EMS, SCADA, and commissioning teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 1+ years of experience in protection & control systems

• Experience in BESS / Substation / Solar / Renewable Energy projects

• Familiar with protection relays such as Siemens SIPROTEC, SEL, ABB, GE Multilin, etc.

• Good understanding of IEC 61850, SCADA, Modbus, GOOSE communication

• Experience with relay testing and commissioning

• Familiar with ETAP / PowerFactory / SKM is preferred

• Strong troubleshooting and site coordination capability

• English communication skills required

Preferred:

• Utility-scale BESS project experience

• GCC / Middle East project experience

• Immediate joiners are highly preferred
