Job Summary:
The technical support engineer for web applications is responsible for debugging, identifying, and resolving issues related to web-based software platforms. He acts as the escalation point for Level 1 support and collaborates closely with the development, QA, and infrastructure teams to maintain system stability.
Transforms raw data into actionable insights by designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for data modeling, cleaning, and transformation (ETL) utilizing DAX and Power Query.
- Create, maintain, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to visualize key performance indicators.
- Connect to various data sources (SQL, Excel, Azure) to clean, transform, and model data for analysis using Power Query and DAX.
- Ensure reports are accurate, efficient, and user-friendly, managing workspaces and data security within the Power BI service.
- Maintenance: Supporting existing IT systems, infrastructure, and databases.
- Collaboration: Working with senior developers, product managers, and testers to deliver features.
- Learning: Rapidly gaining knowledge of tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Troubleshooting: Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to web
based software platforms.
- Reproducing issues in test/staging environments to identify bugs or misconfigurations.
- Conducting detailed log analysis, SQL/database checks, and API validation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Support engineering .
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ability to write basic queries.
- Power BI Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
- Data Skills: Strong SQL skills for database querying and data manipulation.
- Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, modeling).
- Education: a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and communication skills.
