Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Building Material Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and analyzing building materials, including concrete, asphalt, and soil, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in construction materials testing and analysis.
Experience working in cement plants, industrial maintenance, or similar heavy machinery environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory and field testing of building materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of test results
- Interpret test results and provide recommendations for improvements
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure materials meet project specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Provide technical support to project teams as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in construction materials testing and analysis
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to building materials
- Experience using laboratory equipment such as compressive strength machines, sieves, and scales
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
