Technician, Electrical

Job Purpose

To carry out scheduled preventive maintenance program and any assigned electrical breakdown maintenanceu00A0on both static and mobile electrical systems, equipment and installations at all Aviation Fuel Depots, as peru00A0Aviation/JIG standards and manufacturers recommendations.

Job Specific Accountabilities

u2022 Carries out routine preventive maintenance of static and mobile electrical/electronic/automationu00A0equipment including LV/MV/HV Electrical Panels, Aviation Fueling systems, Electrical Motors-Pumps,u00A0Compressors, Generators and HVAC systems at airport depots, Fire Detection/ Alarm Control Systems,u00A0process instruments such as Level/ Flow/ Pressure and Temperature Transmitters, Processu00A0Automation/ SCADA/ PLC as assigned per monthly schedules and according to company procedures,u00A0and records in accordance with laid down procedures.
u2022 Carries out all electrical / electronic modification work as directed by his supervisors, and as peru00A0standards of work and safety without direct supervision.
u2022 Tests electrical/electronic systems, equipment and installations after repair for satisfactory operations.
u2022 Traces out and rectifies faults by following the circuit diagrams and equipment drawings/manuals.
u2022 Ensures all safety precautions are taken before and during execution of electrical works. Maintains allu00A0safety equipment.
u2022 Visits all airports depots (ZAYED AIRPORTZAYED AIRPORT and other) and carries out periodicu00A0checks on all mobile and static electrical systems, equipment and installations. Reports and attendsu00A0faults, carries out any necessary repair and maintenance works, and records accordingly on standardsu00A0forms.
u2022 Prepares store requisitions as per catalogues, part list, etc.
u2022 Retaining & Maintaining all documents/checklists for scheduled tasks as per aviation retention policy
u2022 Attends all assigned breakdowns promptly, carries out necessary repair works and ensures thatu00A0equipment is returned to service as soon as possible. Ensures all safety precautions are taken.
u2022 Ensures the safety instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work in a hazardous areau00A0(safety checks).

u2022 Works in 24X7 Shift Cycle as required.
u2022 Carries out all electrical/electronic modification work as directed by his supervisors and as per safetyu00A0procedures.
u2022 Prepares reports of work done and problems observed during his visits to other remote area aviationu00A0depots.
u2022 Operates and updates records in computer-based maintenance program system for Aviation equipmentu00A0and facilities as per instructions. Ensures all maintenance is recorded as per company procedures.
u2022 Operates Inventory management System and computer-based maintenance program, up to his limitsu00A0of authority in the computer system.
u2022 Ensures that all jobs to be carried out under approved PTW and should comply with companies HSEu00A0rules.

HSSE

u2022 Report to Electrical Supervisor of any expected dangers or hazards, immediately.
u2022 Reports all incidents, Near misses and Hazards to supervisor proactively.
u2022 Follows all safety regulations and procedures including PPE.
u2022 Participates in safety tool box talks.
u2022 Participate in emergency exercises when conducted.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

u2022 Technical Diploma in Electronics or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate inu00A0the relevant field.

u2022u00A04 years of experience in similar role.
