Technician, Electrical (Electrical & Instrumentation)

Job Purpose

Carry out preventive & corrective maintenance, inspections, and repair works for all electrical systems andu00A0equipment at Service Station, Vehicle Inspection Centers and Customer Sites as per equipment standardsu00A0and manufacturers recommendations, in compliance with HSE standards. Job involves regular Self driving ofu00A0company pick up to locations for attending to defects.

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Carry out the service, repair and maintenance activities of all electrical systems and equipment including maintenance of low and medium Voltage Equipment, Switchgear, Control Panels, equipment and buildings at the Service Station, Vehicle Inspection Centers and Customer Sites, in accordance with corporate, engineering, and technical standards and safety and environmental requirements.
• Conduct regular routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of all electrical equipment, maintain records, and monitor condition continually.
• Test electrical/electronic systems, equipment, and installations after repair for satisfactory operations.
• Trace out and rectify faults by following the circuit diagrams and equipment drawings/manuals.
• Perform a functional test on equipment and check for satisfactory working, report and attend to faults, carry out periodic checks on all mobile and static equipment and installations. Report and attend Breakdown faults, carry out any necessary repair and maintenance works, and record accordingly on standards forms.
• Attend all assigned jobs promptly, carry out necessary repair works and ensure that equipment is returned to service with minimum downtime, while ensuring all safety precautions are taken before and during execution of electrical works.
• Ensure the safety instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work in a hazardous area (safety checks/Lock out, Tag outs).
• Carry out all electrical/electronic modification work as directed by the Electrical Supervisor and as per safety procedures.
• Provide information to Electrical Supervisor on the status of facility, preventive and repair work scheduling, processing of work orders and safety work permits.

Minimum Qualification

Diploma in Electrical discipline / Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

4 years of experience in Maintenance department in Oil and Gas Industry.
